Delete your Spot Drop account
You can request permanent account deletion from your account settings. Sign in first, then open Delete Account and follow the confirmation steps.
What happens when you delete your account
After successful deletion, your sign-in account, profile and database records linked for deletion are removed. This includes owned Spots, social relationships, Trail progress and direct-message conversations involving your account. Groups you created and their memberships are also removed. The action cannot be undone through the app.
Photos contributed to another user’s surviving Spot, published Trail definitions, condition flags, administrative audit entries and media-processing records can remain with an account reference cleared. This is not guaranteed anonymization. The automated flow does not remove all remaining personal content.
Uploaded files and avatars are handled separately. Limited immediate cleanup and scheduled cleanup do not guarantee that every file or backup is erased immediately or within a fixed period. Referenced contributions, older files and failed cleanup may remain. Necessary security, fraud-prevention or legal records may also be retained.
To request deletion of remaining associated data, email support@dropthespot.com. If deletion reports an error, some records may already have been removed; contact support to resolve it. See the Privacy Policy for the detailed record and retention explanation.
If you are signed out, you will be asked to authenticate before reaching the deletion controls. The permanent deletion request also verifies your active session before it can run.
